Megunticook (Album, 2021)
On October 22, 2021, The Miners released Megunticook, their first full-length album, which features 10 Marlowe-penned never released originals. The album is available on 180 gram vinyl (including limited edition color vinyl) as well as most digital formats (Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, etc.).
The first single, Without You, premiered on Americana Highways and the second single, Leaving for Ohio, premiered on American Blues Scene. The album is already receiving play in the U.S., U.K. and the Netherlands on radio, podcasts and playlists including on the top public radio music station in the United States, WXPN, on their Americana Music Hour (hosted by WXPN program director, Dan Reed). Miller’s Cave (Single, 2019)
In September 2019, The Miners released their version of Miller’s Cave, the Cowboy Jack Clement Classic previously recorded by Gram Parsons, Bobby Bare, Hank Snow, Charlie Pride and Doug Sahm among others, as a digital single. The single received airplay in the U.S. and the U.K. and has been reviewed by Americana focused blogs such as Adobe & Teardrops.
Miners’ Rebellion (EP, 2012)
In November 2012, The Miners debut release Miners’ Rebellion, a six-song EP, to critical acclaim and notable airplay. The Miners received a featured write-up on No Depression and were featured twice on Bill Frater’s legendary podcast, Freight Train Boogie. Miners’ Rebellion has drawn praise from alt country/Americana blogs both in the U.S. and overseas where it was named a Top-10 release for 2013 by Adobe & Teardrops, was chosen as the #1 Debut Release of 2013 by the blog Popa’s Tunes, and a Best of 2013 by UK radio show Standing in the Shadows of Lev.
Miners’ Rebellion has received airplay on alt country/Americana radio programs in the U.S. and overseas including Wrecking Ball Radio (Chapel Hill, NC; #1 on weekly playlist in March 2013), Radio Free Americana (Verona, VA; #11 on their weekly top-200 artists in February 2013), Redbud Radio Show (Indianapolis, IN), Roots, Rock Review (Z88.9 NJ), The Kitchen Party (WPMG Portland, ME), American Roots and Standing in the Shadows of Lev in the UK, and the Songriver Show and Radio Girl Show out of the Netherlands. Miners’ Rebellion also receives Philadelphia airplay on WXPN on Helen Leicht’s XPN Local Show. The Miners will began working on their follow up full length album in November 2018.
Miners’ Rebellion, was released on CD and through various digital outlets. The EP was recorded entirely on 1/2″ reel-to-reel tape at Match-Up Zone Studios (aka Keith’s basement) and then mixed and mastered at MilkBoy The Studio. Keith engineered and produced the EP as well as mixed the songs (with the help of MilkBoy’s Joel Metzler). See our Media Page for more details.
